A few weeks ago I treated myself to a few new hair care products. I was looking for something to really deep treat my hair and give back some shine and lusture. What I hate most about Winter is the dreaded “puff-ball hair! The weather over the past few weeks has been so muggy and wet and a recipe for frizz disaster!
I have been using these 4 products religiously for the last couple of weeks and have found great results both with keeping frizz at bay and adding moisture.
Kerastase Nutritive Masquintense
This is a total luxury buy but totally worth it in my opinion. You can easily get up to 9 months from this size jar as you need surprisingly little each time, you need to be careful not too overload the hair as it can weigh it down. I chose this particular masque as it’s designed for people with very dry and sensitised hair and this offers deep nutrition to each hair strand. It also has a thermo-reactive formula, so when you use your straighteners, you are essentially locking in the nourishing elements. This is available in two different formulas for either thin or thick hair and is priced €28.60 available here and other Kerastase stockists.
Kerastase Nectar Thermique
From the same range as the masque above, this is a leave-in conditioner. I have used this before and what I love is that is is also a heat protectant and it really speeds up drying time! I find my hair extremly soft and managabe after this, and it holds your style and stays looking fresher for longer. It also gives a great shine to the hair. Priced at €20.28 available here and other Kerastase stockists.
John Frieda 3 Day Straight
I have mentioned this is a post a while ago, but if you have slightly curly hair that you straighten a lot, then this is for you. It really does what it says and help banish the dreaded “puff-ball hair” you can get by midday! I always have a bottle of this throughout the year. Priced €9.79 available here and most pharmacies.
I like to use an oil on just the ends of my hair as I find it really helps reduce split ends, and mask any that I already have. Previously I have been using the L’Oreal Extroadinary Oil but I just didn’t feel that it was nourishing enough. I picked this Argan Oil up in TK Maxx, as part of a set. I am finding it brilliant and this bottle is going to last ages. If you are near a TK Maxx, they have an amazing selection of hair care that contains Argan oil so worth checking out! Alternatively you can use some coconut oil on the ends as a deep conditioner, just remember to rinse well!
Do you have a particular hair product you use in Winter or perhaps you have used some of these aswell? I’d love to hear your comments.
