I have been singing Seventeen’s praises all throughout the year with their re-vamped makeup line which packs a right punch and really affordable to boot! While I wasn’t so keen on their contouring palette, I ADORE their Falsifeye HD Mascara and have lost count of how many I have -repurchased!
This ‘Easy on the Eye’ palette* comes in both ‘Birthday Suit’ which is a mix of neutrals and ‘Smokey’ which as you can guess, is more suited for evening wear. Seventeen very kindly sent me ‘Birthday Suit’ and I have to say, I have been reaching of this as my everyday palette since I received it!
Most neutral palettes I own would verge along the beige / taupe route, but these shades (which at first I thought would not suit me at ALL) are more golden / pink (think Naked 3 palette!) Usually sticking to cooler tones when it comes to shadows, these do verge on the warmer side, but didn’t leave me looking like I had just 2 hours sleep! In fact, I got so many compliments when wearing these!
The palette itself made from sturdy plastic, includes a full length mirror and double-ended brush (which as you can see, didn’t last!) Inside there are 8 shadows which are a mix or pearl, matte & shimmer, 3 metallic creams which are a god-send for a wash of colour when you are in a rush, and a primer.
In my opinion, don’t bother with the primer that’s included, it’s WAY too oily even for my dry lids – use whatever you already have. Longevity is what you would expect for a budget brand, so I found after 5-6 hours there was some fading but that was significantly increased by using my trusty Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Overall though I am honestly loving this palette, and perfect for those who just want neutral eye make up for work etc. The palette itself is slim and sturdy enough to be carried in your bag, so you have a good size mirror on the go for general makeup touch-ups too! Available in Boots now for €10.99
