What if you could have a replica of your favourite designer perfume, but at a fraction of the cost? Recently featured on TV3’s Xpose, Spanish brand Saphir have launched in Ireland and offer fragrances thats are modelled on many of the top designer favourites. Chanel, D&G, Ralph Lauren and Prada just to name a few. They use up to 99% of the same ingredients – just less of the fancy packaging. I was kindly sent 2 perfumes and 1 aftershave ( for the Mr.) to try out.
Select One* which is modelled on D&G The One, Prestige* which is modelled on Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and Select Blue Man* thats modelled on D&G Light Blue.
(Select One & Prestige)
(Select Blue Man)
The perfumes come in beautiful bevelled glass bottles and the aftershaves in a more simple frosted glass bottle. They certainly don’t scream out “cheap perfume” and look really nice on my dressing table alongside their more expensive counterparts. All of the fragrances come in the same red box with the Saphir logo on the front.
Whilst these do smell very similar to their designer equivalent, they do lack that depth that you will only find in the real deal. On first spritz they do smell very much alike, just in a lighter version. I found that they wore for about 2-3 hours, which isn’t bad considering the price and some of my other perfumes only last that long anyway.
Overall I really think these are worth checking out. They are ideal for your handbag, office drawer, car, gym bag etc and you don’t have to worry about losing or breaking an expensive perfume. The 25ml bottle which is in the photos is the perfect size for that. They also come in larger 200ml sizes. The prices are so affordable too with the 25ml costing just €7.99 and 200ml just €24.99.
Saphir perfumes can be bought through their website here, they also have stockists nationwide with a full list available on the site also.
If you would like to receive a full list – which includes the designer fragrances alongside a recommended Saphir equivalent, I would be happy to email to you. Just leave a comment below or email me directly – email@example.com.
