REN Hydra-Calm Gentle Cleansing Milk

SAILORSCLUB

I have an absolute obsession with cleansing my skin at night, and whilst I will never have crystal clear skin no matter what I do, I literally cannot go to sleep without my skin feeling squeaky clean and properly moisturised. I sometimes find it more satisfying than applying my makeup in the first place! Am I alone here?

I’ve been using Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser for years now and it’s a cult product for a reason but I’ve noticed that their product range has gone up in price lately. I don’t live near a Boots that stock it and unless I wait for when they offer free delivery to Ireland, it can end up pretty costly to buy it. One day by chance in T.K.Maxx I stumbled across this REN Hydra-Clam Cleansing Milk for a bargain price of €12.99 so it was far too good to pass. From a quick glance at the box I could see this this was specific for sensitive skin and contained no harsh chemicals or irritants which was perfect from my rosacea skin.

A little about the product itself….

Hydra-Clam Cleansing Milk by REN is a gentle cleansing milk that leaves sensitive, delicate and reactive skin purified, calm and soothed. Flavonoids from Calendula sooth and heal the skin. Omega 3 and 7 essential fatty acids from Artic Blackcurrant Seed oil and Artic Seabuckthorn Berry Oil reduce inflammation while Perodidase Enzymes from Fennel Seed Extract protects distressed skin. This multi action formula increases the skins resistance to environmental aggressors and minimizes the signs of irritations and sensitivity. It gently removes dirt, pollution and makeup, leaving your skin calm and purified.

It comes in a pump bottle which it just perfect for a cleanser and one pump is the right amount to cleanse the face. The scent is really fresh and very “spa-like” so really relaxing and lovely to use. This is a cleansing milk so you can use it by massaging onto dry skin and wiping off with some cotton pads but I prefer to take off with a warm muslin cloth. I used this all over the eye area to remove mascara and eyeliner and there was no stinging whatsoever so that was a total seller for me. I have no time for separate eye and face cleansers and something you can just use all over the face is perfect for half-asleep cleaning at night!!

If you have sensitive skin, suffer from rosacea or are acne prone, I would highly recommend you give this a try. It is packed full of skin loving natural ingredients and it won’t leave your skin feeling stripped or dry afterwards.

While I did get this for a bargain at €12.99, T.K. Maxx don’t regularly stock the same products but do check your local one as you might be lucky! Otherwise you can purchase from Cloud10 Beauty for €20.00 which I think is a fantastic price for a super cleanser and definitely one I am going to re-purchase as soon as I run out.

Thanks for reading, much love,

Leanne xx
