Summer is finally here….at long last! Here’s a few bits that I’ve really enjoyed using over the past month 🙂

Lé Mara Hyaluronic Gel
This is a great find from Aldi! As you may already know, use hyaluronic serums every day. If you’ve dry or dehydrated skin it’s something you should definitely include in your skincare regime.
Previous ones I have used such as Pestle & Morter & SkinCeuticals have been more fluid with a dropper, this is a gel which you dispense with a pump. Having used this solely for 2 weeks, it worked just as well as the more expensive brands! The consistency of this gel is very easy to smooth over the skin and it sinks in quickly with no residue. At just €4.95 I went back to stock up on some more but as I expected, was sold out! I’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for when this is stocked again! If you seen one on your travels, be sure to pick it up!

This Works Light Time Eye Cream*
This Works came out with a new Light Time range a few months back, aimed at your morning skincare routine. Along with the day moisturiser, I’ve been using this eye cream and wow, I LOVE it!
First of all, the metal applicator tip is so refreshing in the morning and really helps reduce any swelling (which I’m getting a lot lately with hayfever). It’s such a beautiful formulation, and not only does it keep the undereye eye area moisturised, it leaves the skin feeling like silk! It’s around the €30 mark, and well worth it!
L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation
My favourite foundation of ALL time is my L’Oreal True Match (now on my 6th bottle ahem!), and when I went to re-purchase this month, my shade was out of stock. Let’s be fair that gorgeous packaging sucked me right in, so I picked this up instead.
Cushion foundations are now hitting our shores with a bang, having been first created in Korea. This idea behind them is that they are patted onto the skin with the sponge provided – I don’t do this! Using a kabuki I buff into this skin.
Honestly, this is just the liquid foundation poured over a sponge, they are more expensive but you’re pretty much paying for the convenience of it. Ok, so to the foundation itself. If you’ve oily skin keep well away! As the name suggests it gives a luminous finish. My t-zone would get oily with this after a few hours but with some setting powder to the rescue it was fine.
The finish is light/medium and buildable, and looks really natural on the skin. If you have dry or mature skin, this may be a good one to try!
Charlotte Tilbury – Instant look in a Palette
This was a total spur of the moment purchase one night while browsing on-line, and I can honestly say it was money well spent!
I reach for this everyday as everything I need it right there and of course the formulas are amazing! In the palette, you get 3 neutral eyeshadows (2 matte, 1 shimmer), a bronzer (the same one a the filmstar Bronze & Glow), 2 blushes and a highlighter.
If you’re someone who is lugging around a huge makeup bag every day, this would be a great investment! And plus it’s Charlotte Tilbury – what’s not to love? This retails for €69.00 which works out at really good value considering what you get.
Joico Hair Shake*
One of the downfalls of straightening my hair is that it can look quite flat unless I take the time to backcomb or using some volumizing sprays. This product is a liquid-to-powder texturizer that you shake (you’ll hear the ball inside!) and sprays a really fine mist which is invisible on the hair.
It gives really good texture allowing you to manoeuvre some height onto your root area. I’ve found this great too for giving freshly washed hair some grip, if you’re trying to do an upstyle or ponytail.
Have you tried any of the above yet? Be sure to let me know what you thought!
All products are bought by myself with the exception of any marked with an *.
