Oh I just love this time of the year with the clocks going forward and hoping that warmer, brighter weather is not too far away. Typing this while the wind and rain is battering against my window isn’t giving me much hope that it will be anytime soon, but thats Ireland for you!
Here’s the low-down on what beauty bits I was loving this month. I didn’t do a February favourites so I have a few bits added from that month too.
Benefit – The Porefessional
I received a sample of this a few months ago and loved it, it really did help with hiding my pores and stopping my foundation settling into them during the day. I found the texture of this beautifully silky and glided onto my skin without feeling tacky or heavy. It has a slightly light mousse consistency and only a little is needed to achieve the perfect base for your foundation. It is spendy at €34.00 but definitely one to try out.
Ziaja Olive Leaf Nourishing Face Cream*
This is a fantastic moisturiser and with the added bonus of spf 20 and it’s teeny price tag, it’s an all-round winner! Its a good basic moisturiser without the bells and whistles, and didn’t irritate my sensitive skin, but kept it feeling really soft and hydrated throughout the day. Love that it comes is a tube too. A beauty bargain at €5.99 for 50ml.
Max Factor Masterpiece Glamour Extensions 3-in-1 Mascara*
Wow thats a mouthful to describe a mascara! Since I received this I literally have not stopped using it – you can even see where it’s worn away from so much use! I love the cone shaped wand as it coats each lash so easily and with no clumps. It’s also easy to layer and you can get a great defined daylook or a more dramatic night time look from this mascara. It’s priced at €15.99 which is a good pricepoint as I have used far more expensive ones which weren’t half as good.
Maybelline Instant Eraser Eye Concealer
This is my second one as the first one I bought was in the shade “Nude” which was way too dark for me. This one is in “Light” and is just perfect (I’m MAC NC15 for reference). I use this after I have finished my foundation in a triangle under my eye and blend in with a brush. I also use around the nose area for extra coverage. It’s a fab little product I think everyone should have in their makeup bag.
Nivea Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle Serum Pearls*
The minute I seen this I wanted to try it! I have always loved Nivea and this serum is a great little extra for your skincare routine. The texture and smell of this is just divine and the little pearls burst with each pump – such a cool idea! It’s also easy on the pocket usually retailing at €12.99 but regularly on special offers from time to time.
Artistry Signature Colour Lipstick in “Velvet”*
Artistry is a brand that was very new to me, and was sent this lipstick to try out. When I first seen the colour I was a bit apprehensive as I am not a fan of dark shades but this is just beautiful! It’s quite a sheer formula so the shade is a lot lighter on application and the staying power is phenomenal! It’s probably the fanciest lipstick I have ever owned, the packaging is very luxe. Its not cheap at €25.50 but very much worth it in my opinion. This brand is only available through Amway – similar to Avon in a way.
Paese Lipstick with Argan Oil in shade “54”*
This is just a beautiful lipstick and a first that I have tried from Paese. It’s a gorgeous deep pink shade and has fantastic pigment. It’s really moisturising on the lips too with added vitamins and of course, Argan Oil. The packaging feels really sturdy and has a magnetic lid, which I find myself constantly playing with! A steal at €5.99, I will be picking up a few more of these for sure!
So that’s my beauty favourites for another month – thanks for reading!
