Mades is a brand I had never heard of up until a few weeks ago, and that’s as it’s new to Ireland all the way from Holland! The products within the range are all of salon quality but very budget friendly, so I was delighted to be asked to review 2 products from the range, and let you guys know what I thought.
The range of shampoos, conditioners and sprays have the same ingredients that meet the high standard of salons, and while we know professional hair care from the salon can sometimes cost more than a blowdry, all Mades haircare come in under €9.00!
First of all their packaging is ON POINT! Really bright and colourful and guaranteed to brighten up any morning shower! There are 5 sub-ranges to cater for all hair-types and all boldly colour coordinated to each range. You have:
- Radiant Blonde
- Vibrant Brunette
- Wonder Volume
- Repair Expert
- Absolutely Frizz-Free
My hair is bleached, highlighted and coloured to within an inch of it’s life (let’s not even mention the overuse of GHD’s!!) so it always needs something to nourish and repair. I went with the Repair Expert Restore Strength hair mask and the Root Awakening spray from the same range. Getting some volume into my hair is a task too, so something nourishing yet able to give volume it sometimes hard to come by.
Repair Expert Restore Strength Hair Mask
In an easy to use tube, this intensive hair mask includes a keratin complex and a blend of 6 natural oils. It promises to instantly deeply penetrate the hair and restore natural volume and softness. As it’s aimed at fragile and damaged hair, it was right up my street and I found it worked brilliantly or my dry, parched hair. I left this in for about 2-3 minutes and it really added shine and softness to my tresses, without being heavy. There is also a gorgeous, slightly floral scent to it making it feel a lot more expensive than it is, hence the salon quality attributes it has! I was dead impressed though, and will be re-purchasing as soon as it runs out.
Repair Expert Root Awakening Detangling Spray
I like to use some sort of de-tangling spray before I start brushing wet hair..I think I have THE knottiest hair each time I wash it! Again this includes a keratin complex and nourishing oils to that protect against breakage and split ends. It also gives slight root lift to the hair too. I spray this liberally all over then blow dry as usual, using a round brush to really get into the roots of my hair. Combing through is a breeze and it gives the root volume I need without any stickiness or heaviness. A great product which will last me quite a while!
Overall I really enjoyed both of these products, and I will be sure to pick up some of the shampoo and conditioner from the radiant blonde range. If you are on the hunt for something different for your hair and like me, don’t like spending a small fortune on it, this range is perfect and really gives great results!
It is rolling out in pharmacies across Ireland as the weeks go by and also available online from Beauty Matters.
Till next time….
