For the past 2 years, I have been using my Liz Earle Hot Cloth cleanser every night. I love cleansers that work with a hot facecloth. They throughly deep clean your face and take every bit of make-up off. They are also fantastic at taking off mascara without having to tug at the eye area too much.
If you are a PowderPocket subscriber, you would have received a sample of this Absolute Cleansing Oil in the May box. There was enough for about 3 uses, and after that I was hooked. This stuff is just bloody amazing! What I love about this cleansing oil, is firstly the fact that it contains no harsh chemicals. It does not contain any foam or alcohol, It’s just packed full of lovely natural ingredients.
- Sunflower Seed Oil
- Sesame Seed Oil
- Water Melon Seed Oil
- Safflower Seed Oil
- Orange Peel Oil
- Rosemary Leaf Extract
- Cedarwood Oil
- Eucalyptus Leaf Oil
- Lemon Peel Oil
- Rosemary Leaf Oil
Secondly, it does exactly what it says on the tin! This just melts off make-up, even heavy foundation and waterproof mascara. I splash some warm water onto my face, then I use one pump of oil and massage all over my skin. It smells divine, really natural and very relaxing. I then get a warm facecloth and gently wipe all over my face. Your skin feels so soft afterwards and not at all dry or irritated.
You can also do a “deep cleanse” with this oil. For 2-3 minutes keep rinsing your facecloth in warm water and place over your skin to open your pores. I like to do this about twice a week and I am left with lovely, glowing skin. I also do a face mask on these nights, as it’s best when the pores are open to get the full benefits of your mask.
This cleansing oil is also good for men to use during shaving. My better half tried it for a few shaves, and noticed a cleaner, smoother shave with no dryness or irritation afterwards. In fact, he wants me to buy another bottle for himself! Just one down-side to using an oil for shaving is that is does lessen the life of the blade, so just to keep that in mind.
I would highly recommend this Cleansing Oil if you are on the market for a new cleanser. And if you have an oily skin-type, don’t let an oil put you off, it will actually help balance the natural oils in your skin.
You can purchase this directly from www.kinvaraskincare.com or selected pharmacies throughout the country. They are based in Galway so it’s also great to be supporting an Irish business. Priced at €19.99 for 100ml, each bottle contains approx. 108 pumps, which would cover 3 months of night-time cleansing.
Have you tried this or any other cleansing oils?
Much love x
