Here at Blather and Beauty, I like to keep my reviews and vibe positive as much as possible. But if a product dosen’t impress me I will certainly post it and this month’s Glossybox unboxing and first impressions is one. It was all well, just a bit meh! I did see a spoiler post from a UK Blogger a few days before I received my box, so when it arrived, the excitement just wasn’t there. This month’s theme was “Festival” and here’s what was inside.
MONU Spa Rosewood Reviving Mist
This was the only product that I liked from the box. I have tried a few MONU Spa products through GlossyBox and they have all been really great. I have a face mask that I still love to use, and this reviving mist is equally as good. The scent is lovely and refreshing thanks to the essential oils of lemon, rosewood and geranium. I used this the last two days with the great weather we were having and it really cooling and refreshing.
GlossyBox Flash Tattoos
I have never got the hype with these yokes, they are hideous! I haven’t used fake tattoos since I was probably 10 and certainly don’t intend to again! I was also pretty peed off that these were classed as a full-size product, and I certainly wouldn’t pay the €8.00 they say they are worth!
Halo Fragrance Free Facial Wipes
I can see why these were included as wipes are a MUST at festivals. I would have kept these in my handbag or in the car but the pack I received was ripped all at the back so they were completely dried out. They had to go straight into the bin.
Kueshi anti-cellulite Booster
Ah why oh why was this included? If there are two words I really dislike it’s anti-ageing and anti-cellulite. Both do nothing! I can imagine this was included to get your pins perfect for those shorts, but lads, this cream ain’t going to do nothing! I will probably use this as a general body moisturiser or foot cream but again pretty miffed that it was included and that it’s also another full-size product!
Essence Shine Lipgloss
I do love Essence make-up but glittery lip glosses I’m not a fan of. I’ve never really been a lipgloss person in general and tend to stay with tinted lip balms and trusty Vaseline. This is another product that I will probably pass off to someone else.
Overall as you can tell I was really unimpressed with this box. Out of the €19.00 I paid for it, I will get to use one product out of 5. I have now cancelled my subscription with Glossybox and the hunt is on for something else to replace it. I have heard great reviews about the “Latest in Beauty” box and if there is any others I should know about, please let me know!
Did you get Glossybox this month? Did you like it or is it just me? Let me know!
As always, thanks for reading!
