This was my first month as a Chic Treat subscriber. I have been drooling over everyones goodies for the past 6 months and every month I was really impressed! When they brought in the rolling subscription of €16.95 last month I hopped on board, as I just couldn’t really afford to pay for 6 months up front.
So today, I literally ran to the door when I heard the courier outside. I seen a spoiler photo on twitter last night, which I was a little annoyed about. There nothing worse than someone putting up a full photo of contents, knowing that other subscribers may not have received their box yet, but I didn’t let that defeat me, I was still uber excited!
As always, these beauty subscription boxes are beautifully presented with tissue paper, cute ribbon and a little sticker to keep everything in place. When I opened the outer cardboard box, the first thing I got was this AMAZING fragrance! You will see what this was from down below!
Neostrata Bionic Face Cream
This is a brand that I have always meant to try but never got around to. I heard so many good things about them, especially the glycolic peel. Also anything that has the words “restore” and “intense hyrdation” on it, I’m all over it. Incase you haven’t gathered by my previous reviews, I have skin like the sahara, an ever-drying sahara, so this is right up my alley. I tried some on the back of my hand and a little goes a long way with this. It’s an emollient cream, so it may not be suitable for under makeup. Nevertheless, I will lash this baby on at night and no doubt my skin will drink it up. This was a full size product and retails for €42.62. I’d better go easy on it!
Yonka Quintessence Scented Candle and “Mini Heros”
This was the amazing aroma that met me when I opened the box. I can only describe it as the smell you get when you are in a spa – extremely relaxing. Packed full of essential oils (Lavender, Rosemary, Geranium, Cypress & Thyme). The “mini heros” were 2 samples in the form of a cleansing milk and dry skin toner (see these guys must know I’m a parchy face!) They are quite small samples, but I would say enough for 2-3 uses just to get a feel of the product. Not that I mind, I am so in love with this candle! It has a 12hr burn time, and retails for €10.50. You can buy a larger 180g size for €27.00. I MAY have to purchase this!
Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush
I had my beady little eye on this beauty since they launched in Ireland. Unfortunately no stockist is near me yet, so I was delighted to receive this. There was a 50/50 distribution of this blush and the bronzer in this month’s box, so I am really happy I got the blush. It’s just sooo pretty! Also comes with a little brush underneath and a mirror. It claims to be infused with Euphoryl – meant to mimic the effect of endorphins and help you feel happy. Not too sure I buy that but it is such a beautiful product, which I will no doubt use everyday. This is full size and retails for €19.90.
I-Envy Lashes by Kiss
I don’t wear false lashes in general, although when I do actually take the time to put them on (man its tricky!) they are really worth it. I love that these are natural and not too “in your face” and I will put these to good use on my next social outing. A full size product and retails for €3.99.
Burt’s Bees Foot Cream
I won’t lie, this wasn’t the most exciting part of the box. I have foot creams galore, which I am now using as hand creams to use them up! But this one is different. The is definitely not a cream, but very similar in texture to Vaseline. I did lash this on my hooves today and they feel just like velvet! It took a while to soak in, so it would be very beneficial to use as a deep treatment at night. This was a sample size, with a full tube retailing at €14.95.
I am absolutely delighted with my first Chic Treat Box. When added up, the contents came to a whopping €79.50, and contained 4 full-size products. I love everything that was in it and I am already looking forward to next month!
What were your thoughts on this month’s box? I’d love to read your comments.
Much love x
