At last January is finally over, payday has come and the evenings are finally getting a little brighter! This has been a busy month for me on the blog. I have so many half-opened bottles of lotions and potions that I am trialling at the moment. Here’s the low-down of what floated my boat this month:
Herbal Essences Clearly Naked Range*
I was never a Herbal Essences fan for the pure reason that they are known for – the scent! I really don’t like overpowering shampoo fragrances, especially anything overly sickly or floral. I love that this new range is the exact opposite! Think polo mints – it smells so refreshing and cooling on your scalp too. My hair wasn’t left overly shiny afterwards but it was so soft and felt very silky. This range also contains no parabens, colourants or silicone. For the price I will definitely be stocking up! Prices start from €3.49.
Eylure Brow Crayon*
I have probably used every brow set and brow pencil that’s out there but never a crayon. This is a twist-up jobby so no sharpener needed. This is just so good at giving a natural brow as you don’t get the sharp, drawn-on look. It also mimics the natural hair really well due to the waxiness for the crayon. It stayed put all day and will be a re-purchase for sure when it runs out. €7.79 available in Boots.
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation
This foundation range from Rimmel was the hottest topic amongst beauty bloggers this month! Back in November I reviewed the 25hr Lasting Finish one and really couldn’t fault it in any way! This Match Perfection has a much lighter consistency but gives really good medium coverage. The formula really melts into your skin so it never obvious or cakey. A “must-have” for everyones makeup bag. €9.99 in Boots.
Nima Brush – Eye Brushes
At Christmas a bought some of the eye brushes from Nima Brush. I already have some kabuki brushes that I bought and just love them so much. For the price, the quality of these brushes is next to none. I got 6 eye brushes in total but these 2 I have been using nearly everyday. The “Debs” and The “Patricia” just make doing any eye look do easy! The “Patricia” is just THE perfect crease brush, it’s so soft and blends your crease shades perfectly with hardly any effort. Prices on these brushes start from €10.00.
Wet n Wild Lipstick in Rose-Bud
I finally managed to get my hands on some Wet n Wild products last weekend. With their lipsticks priced at just €2.99, I wanted to get them all! I got just 3 in the end and I have been wearing this one pretty much all week. It’s a reddish pink and suits a lot of different makeup looks. The pigmentation is unreal, so for during the day I just dab it on under some lip balm for a bit of colour.
Have you tried any of these before?
