The last Chic Treat Box of 2014 and I have to say I have really enjoyed each and every box this year. There were a few hit and misses but overall I have used nearly everything I received and went on to buy some products again myself. This month was of course the Christmas Edition so some sparkle was expected!
Wet n’ Wild Mega Rocks Glitter Polish
While I did already receive a gold glitter nail polish in last month’s box, these are just gorgeous! I literally cannot wait to do my nails up for Christmas with them. As there is no Wet n’ Wild stockist near me, I love receiving anything from this brand! I think there was different colours sent out in each box – I received the red and silver and they retail for €3.99 each.
Image Lip Enhancement Complex
This is a brand I love, and while I have only tried out some sample sizes, I think I am really going to invest in some proper skincare from this brand in the New Year. I love when there is a lip product included and this one is fantastic! I have been using it for the last 2 days and my lips feel so moisturised like no other lip balm I have ever used. It lasts quite well too, I only had to re-apply twice throughout the day! It says that with regular use you can add up to 40% more moisture volume to your lips! This is full size product (which I was a little shocked to find out – it’s tiny!) and retails for €23.00.
Thalgo Super Lift Toner
Another fantastic brand which I don’t get a chance to try much, we were treated to either a cleanser or toner. I was actually happy I received the toner as I really love using them – they are fantastic for removing every last bit of cleanser and makeup, leaving your skin feeling really clean. This was a deluxe sample size of 50ml worth €5.80.
Physicians Formula Shimmer Kohl Kajal Eyeliner
Every single thing I have tried from Physicians Formula have been amazing so I had high hopes for this eyeliner. At first I thought it was a purple shade with the colour of the packaging, thankfully it was a trusty black one. I’ve been using this the past two days and it wears really well. I love kajal liners as they are so simple to use, and this has sparkles in it – even better! These come in a trio pack for €16.90 – making one worth €5.60. An absolute steal!
We also got a sample of the L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil. I already use this is the “coloured hair” version and I love it. Personally I’m not a fan of sample sachets but as this was just an added extra I don’t really mind. Though this product has been around nearly 2 years now, so I’m not sure why this in particular was included when we could have sampled a much more recently launched product.
This month’s box added up to €42.00 worth of product (4 Full size) and there was a good selection included. They were definitely brands that I generally would not get a chance to try and can’t fault any of them. Looking forward to a New Year of Chic Treats and more new products to try.
What did you think of this month’s box?
Much love x
