Bioline Jato Skincare : Review

Bioline Jató Skincare

A few months ago I was delighted to be sent some products from Bioline Jató to try out. Lately I’m getting more and more into good skincare so they were very much welcomed! Bioline Jató is an Italian,  family-run company and for the last 30 years has made it’s mark globally as a luxury, results-driven skincare line.

Bioline Jató is available exclusively in salons through both treatments and home-care products, and can tailor make a skincare regime to suit every skin concern.

I was asked what my skin concerns were and was sent product that were personally suited to me. I have dry skin which can get very dehydrated if I don’t look after it and also get cystic and hormonal acne from time to time. With this in mind, the lovely Bernice prescribed me the following:

  • Primaluce Exforadiance Moisturising Renovating Cream (€79.95)
  • Eye & Lip Contour Cream (€110.70)
  • Daily Ritual Hydra Milk-Cream Cleanser (€32.90)
  • Daily Ritual Hydra Lotion Refreshing Toner (€32.90)

Primaluce Exforadiance is a range which is targeted at the treatment of wrinkles, thickened skin, sensitive skin and skin that is prone to acne. This moisturiser contains AHA’s from Passion Fruit, Pinapple & Grapes which gently work through a system of gradual exfoliation on the skin. While some products containing AHA’s can be a little harsh, this is extremely gentle and suitable for anyone with sensitive skin. It helps the cell turnover process, which in turn make your skin feel incredibly soft and looks glowing!

When I started using this moisturiser about 8 weeks ago, my skin was in tatters. I really should have taken a “before pic” but honestly the way it was looking, it was the last thing on my mind. I had very bad cystic acne all around my chin and nose area, mixed with dehydrated skin….I looked like crap basically. My first 2 weeks of use and my skin got worse, way worse! I was getting new spots nearly everyday. As the skin renews itself every 28 days, I decided to keep using the cream – just to see if it was just taking all the crap out from my skin, and also to give a good honest review of the product. Let’s just say, I’m so glad that I did! By week 4 my skin had literally renewed itself. All the horrible cysts had disappeared, the spots that were there weeks beforehand were nearly all gone, and my face felt SO soft. I mean the softest I have ever felt my skin!

The moisturiser itself is housed in a glass jar and is quite thick in consistency, but only very little is needed as it just melts into the skin so easily. It’s a joy to use and has honestly opened up my eyes to this brand. I have tried so much skin care in my time, and some don’t give the results they claim. Before I started using this I would usually exfoliate my skin twice a week, and with this moisturiser I have probably only needed to twice in the month! I’ve started to use this just at night now and I am still seeing the same results. It’s also a bit on the spendy side so I want to get as long as is possible from this jar of heaven!

Eye & Lip Contour Cream

This eye & lip cream is from the AGE with Mosiac Technology line. This is a targeted cream that works buy giving volume to the skin, so it’s perfect for the delicate skin around the eye area giving a plumping effect. I also used this around the nose area and down towards the lips. The ingredients in this are Undaria Seaweed, Bioactive Peptide & Plant Cell extracts.

It comes in a 30ml pump and the formula is beautifully rich so the only the tiniest amount is needed. Considering most eye creams are 15ml, this will last quite a long time too. I haven’t noticed any difference around the nose / lip area but I am using the product there for preventative reasons anyway. I did however notice an improvement around the eye area after 3-4 weeks of use. I do have lines around my eyes and of course these did not disappear nor would I want them to! What I noticed was how smooth the skin under and around my eyes was, and this was evident when using under eye concealers during the day. Without makeup I can really notice the skin has plumped and makes the whole area look much fresher.

Daily Ritual Hydra-Milk Cleanser & Refreshing Toner

The Daily Rituals range is as you may have guesses, a range of cleansers, toners, eye makeup removers and exfoliators. The Hydra range is suitable for all skin-types but especially good if you have dry skin, as they are hydrating and won’t strip the skin. I use the milk cleanser to take off all make-up including eye makeup and remove with a warm cloth. The toner very refreshing afterwards and both are really lovely products to use. The only issue I found with both of these was the packaging. They have screw off caps which I just find a little fiddly and think something with a flip-cap would be better, but that’s just me personally.

Overall I can honestly say these products have done nothing else but impress me. I understand that they are on the expensive side and not everyone (myself included!) would be able to afford them, but I will certainly re-purchase the moisturiser when I run out. I’ll start putting some money away each week because hand on heart, it’s worth every single cent!

If you want to find out more about the brand you can check out their website and you can get a full list of Irish stockists from NewGen Skin Ltd.

The Primaluce line is amazing! A mini chemical peel resulting in a large chemical peel result without the skin peeling away. Expensive product but in reality it’s cheaper- using less product, plus more potent. All the Bioline products are worth the investment. 🙂
