It’s been a while……

It’s been a while……

The last time I logged into my blog was February 2017 - over 6 months ago! Why? Honestly as cliche as it sounds, life took hold. I lost my blogging mojo, bloggers were getting a bashing left right and centre for pretty much not doing or saying anything right. We were false, fake and out-of-date as mentioned by a well known Irish brand CEO. I never spoke about my private life here - it's pretty boring, to be honest! But my daughter was diagnosed with Autism last year. It wasn't a shock as I knew for a month in advance that something wasn't quite right. Queue the Mammy take-over and really then nothing else going on … [Read more...]

February Birchbox | Unboxing

February Birchbox | Unboxing

A bit of a different subscription box to show you this month, I signed up to Birchbox for the first time. Looking for something a bit different, I signed up and also received €5.00 off as a first-timer, meaning it only cost €9.50 incl delivery. Not bad eh? What caught my eye was the beautifully designed box that was offered this month from British stationary brand Papier.  This month's theme was Express Yourself which was drawn from box designs, the box can also double as a cute desk tidy! Inside you receive 5 products, with 2 full-size and 3 deluxe samples. Spectrum Collections C06 Tulip Eyeshadow Brush Having … [Read more...]

Vichy Idéalia Peeling – A Glycolic for Sensitive Skin

Vichy Idéalia Peeling – A Glycolic for Sensitive Skin

The latest addition to the Vichy Idéalia Range ( which is amazing by the way! ) is the Radiance Activating Night Peeling Essence. For so long, many who have sensitive skin have had to pass on the glycolic's for exfoliation as most, even PIXI glow are just too harsh. Vichy have nailed it here with a gentle peeling night-time treatment, especially suited for sensitive skin. I'm no stranger to glycolic with many in rotation such as Neostrata and of course by beloved Alpha H Liquid Gold. My skin had adapted and can pretty much face ( no pun intended!!) anything I throw at it. This product is perfect for anyone who found … [Read more...]

The Ordinary Skincare – First Impressions

The Ordinary Skincare – First Impressions

Unless you have been sat comfy under a rock, the hottest skincare brand EVERYONE is talking about is The Ordinary. Why you ask? Well, they part of Deciem (a humble and happy umbrella of good beauty brands in thier words!) and have launched an extremely affordable, no-nonesnse range of hard-working skincare. There's no fliff faff with this brand, they get straight down to business with the science of what is IN each product - not an airbrushed model in sight. Interested? Cool, read on! When you first take a look at what products are available, it can make you think why you didn't listen more in science at … [Read more...]

Shiseido Bio Performance Lift Dynamic Range

Shiseido Bio Performance Lift Dynamic Range

As always with skincare, it takes me a good 2 months or so to decide if it's for me or not and after a thorough workout of these products I can say they are pretty darn amazing! I've been using a few different products from Shiseido for the past year or so. My local pharmacy have an amazing Shiseido stand and full skin care range, if I'm ever lost you will probably find me there staring at shiny bottles! I have used the original bio performance moisturiser originally to trying these, upon recommendation from a Shiseido consultant. With this, I also purchased their skin softener, which is essentially a toner but gives … [Read more...]

January Glossybox | First Impressions

January Glossybox | First Impressions

Yes yes I know, one month I'm subscribed the next I'm not. As always I've a love/hate relationship with subscription boxes but I bought a 3-month subscription at Christmas so let's see how we go! This month's theme was "The Edible Edit" - a box full of organic goodies. Here's what was inside: Unani Illuminate Milk Cleanser Never heard of this brand but this smells reaaaally good and has a lovely milky texture. With double cleansing, I always like to have a nice milk cleanser to go in with after a balm so this will be put to good use. (Full-size) TheBalm Meet Matt(e) Trimony Single Eyeshadow How cute!!! Most … [Read more...]

Review | Pestle & Mortar Superstar Retinol Night Oil

Review | Pestle & Mortar Superstar Retinol Night Oil

Since the launch of Pestle & Mortar back in 2015, I've been a huge fan. Not only is it an Irish company but one that bloody knows it's stuff when it comes to skincare. You can read some previous reviews I have of their Hydrate Moisturiser & Hyaluronic Serum. They don't have a huge line of products promising the sun, moon and stars, but a 4 products ( hopefully more to come!!) that have had the been put through their paces well before going to market. With their sublime and minimal packaging, they not only look great on your bathroom shelf, but I can hand on heart say, I've never been disappointed. Before … [Read more...]

Joico Co+Wash for those on the go

Joico Co+Wash for those on the go

We all have those mornings where we wake up and just know that a dose of dry shampoo just won't cut it until 5pm! This genius offering from Joico is a godsend not only for rushed mornings, but for the little ones too! ( and guys! ) Co+Wash is a 2in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner with a difference - it packs a punch on leaving your hair feeling like you applied a deep conditioner, all in less than 2 minutes! With ingredients such as Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter, the hair is infused with this beautiful foam, leave for 1-2 minutes and ta-da - your done! I've been using this now for over 2 months, intermittently with the Joice … [Read more...]
