5 Ways to instantly look more polished

MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY (2)_Fotor

If your reading this you are very welcome to the “beauty obsessed” club! We all want to look our best but between work and a busy lifestyle, little things can fall by the wayside. We don’t always get the time to do the nitty-gritty we would like to, but here are 5 ways you can instantly look more polished! Great if you get that last minute phone call to a party or BBQ!

#1 Groomed Brows

They are the frame for the face and I cannot live without my brow mascaras. I do love to do a structured brow with a pencil but when your pushed for time, brow mascaras are literally a god send! My favourite at the moment is the MeMeMe Brow Angel. The wand is the perfect size – not too big and really stiff so it gives you good control on the brow. This one also comes with a highlighter that so you can quickly highlight under the brow too.

#2 Manicured Nails

So many times I have been just been about the head out the door to work only to notice I totally forgot to paint my nails the night before. Sporting a week old chipped nail varnish is pretty much the worst beauty sin we can commit! My saviours are a good nude nail polish and a quick dry spray. I remove the old nail varnish and then I apply “Soul Session” from Rimmel. This is a gorgeous nude shade and the ONLY nail varnish I have ever finished! I then spray some Elegant Touch Rapid Dry on top and flap around like a chicken for 60 seconds. Wham….they are bone dry and your ready to go!

#3 Frizz free hair

I battle with the frizzies on a daily basis I have naturally curly hair which I straighten within an inch of it’s life. With the so-called Summer we are having, the misty rain we are getting on a daily basis is NOT my friend. I always have a bottle of John Frieda Glossing Mist in my bag. This not only gives hair a beautiful shine, but tames any frizz and will give you another few hours until you resemble a puff-ball again. I really love this stuff!

#4 Smooth Skin

You’ve been out the night before and wake up to dull, pasty skin. This Instant Brightening face mask from Liz Earle is THE best invention ever. I reviewed it previously here. It has helped me out so many times and I love that it works in just 30 seconds! I lash this on while brushing my teeth and remove with a warm muslin cloth. Your skin is plumped, feels refreshed and super soft and gives you the perfect base to apply your makeup! No one will ever know you were swinging from the light shades at 4am!

#5 No facial fuzz

We all have it and I for one always find a few strays just before I’m about to head somewhere, I find this nifty tool great for getting rid of the fuzz. It won’t leave any stubble and is very gentle on the skin. It literally takes a few seconds and your good to go! There is also an attachment that will trim any scraggy brow hairs too! Highly recommend it!

Have you any tips for looking instantly polished?

Thanks for reading, much love
